Open Table

Nottingham

As part of our commitment to the Inclusive Church network, we host an Open Table Network community for Nottingham and surrounding areas.

We reach out in welcome to LGBTQIA+ people who need us and who are looking for us. We know that organised religion so often turns away from us. Faith groups can often be cold or hostile towards us, and this can leave us truly isolated; just at the very times when we need affirmation of love, worth and belonging.

What is Open Table?

Open Table is a national partnership of communities that welcome Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, & Asexual (LGBTQIA) people, along with our families, friends and anyone who wants to belong in an accepting, loving community.

Who Can Join US?

All are welcome! OTN is run by, and for, LGBTQIA+ people, their friends and families. We welcome people of any faith, colour or background. We welcome people of every gender identity and sexual orientation. We are hosted at St John's Carrington, but welcome members from across the surrounding area. Whether you have joined us for worship before or not, whether you take part in another faith community or not, you are welcome here. We find God and each other in our gatherings, and that gives us time and peace to grow together.

What Do We do?

Each Open Table meeting includes time for social connection, reflection and contemplation on a theme, and worship. We incorporate an agape bring-and-share meal into all of our meetings. We offer a full Eucharist on a quarterly basis.
