Revd Tracey Byrne
07591 304618

"Reverend Tracey was born and brought up in Coventry, but for the 20 years or so prior to her ordination lived in Lincolnshire, and then Newark.  She has worked in education and the voluntary sector, and has also been a hospital chaplain - in Mansfield - and a university chaplain - at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln.  Before ordination she ran OneBodyOneFaith, an ecumenical charity working for the affirmation and inclusion of LGBTQ people in the life and ministry of the churches.  She trained for ministry at Ripon College, Cuddesdon, and served her curacy alongside Father Wayne and the people of St John the Baptist Beeston.

Tracey has been involved in volunteering at the Greenbelt festival for many years, and in her spare time enjoys needlework, walking and taming the vicarage garden.  She and Sandy are delighted to have been called to live amongst and serve the people of Carrington, just a short hop across the city centre, and are looking forward to getting to know the community in the coming weekend and months as we embark on this next phase of our journey together.”

David was ordained in the far west of Wales in St. David's Cathedral. He served as curate, first in the parish of Tenby and then in Chepstow. He came over the border to this Diocese to be Chaplain to Sutton Centre, a school and a large multi agency community centre, and Rector of Teversal, a small village with two working coal mines. Then followed fourteen years as the Vicar of All Souls, Radford – a modern Church built around community facilities. Finally he served as Bishop's Officer for Urban Life and Mission, concerned mainly with church life in areas affected by deprivation.

Susi Artis

Susi has worked as a Social Worker and teacher. Three years ago, she began training for Licensed Lay Ministry and was licensed in October 2018.

She loves serving the folk at St John’s and the wider community of Carrington. If she gets any spare time she loves her garden, going for a run and supporting Nottingham Forest.

Denis Tully

In 1981 Denis was commissioned as an evangelist into the Church Army. He has spent his working career in youth work, working with families and currently works in a charity providing services for people who are homeless.

He is interested in conversations about faith and love. He likes the idea of radical welcome and the stranger being a catalyst for new growth. He is committed to inclusion of all people.
