'Virtual' Holy Week
As we are very sadly unable to meet in our church building, Holy Week and Easter will look somewhat different.
Below, you can read about our plans and how you can worship at home in this
most precious of weeks.
You can download the Orders of Service for Holy Week here. As well as the liturgy, these will have some suggestions as to how you may participate more fully at home.
We recognise Zoom and Facebook live-stream are unfamiliar to some: please do
We have also put together some appropriate images for Holy Week with some short prayers. You may find these helpful in your reflections. Click here to view them.
For the more creative among you, we are also looking to create a Church and Community singing project. Click here for more info.

10am: Live streamed Eucharist
10am Live streamed Eucharist
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy week by commemorating Jesus' entry into Jerusalem.
Although we won't be able to physically mark this, a Eucharist will be live streamed here. This is done on Facebook: you don't need to be a member to view.
When you go out for your daily exercise, why not take a video on your phone of you walking with your cross? Send it to Rev James and we can share it online:
or 075950 353 42.
OF HOLY WEEK
6pm: Virtual Evening Prayer by Zoom
9pm: Live streamed Compline
Monday-Wednesday of Holy Week
6pm: Zoom Evening Prayer
Join us at 6pm as we say Evening Prayer via Zoom: a virtual conferencing facility.
If you would like to join in with that, either email the Vicar or fill in the form below. Rev James will then send a link out to people with joining instructions.
We will be live streaming Compline (Night Prayer) every night at pm here. This is done on Facebook: you don't need to be a member to view.
Download the order of service for Compline.
7.30pm 'Zoom' Agape Meal
8.30pm: Live streamed Holy Communion
Followed by live streamed Prayer Vigil til midnight
Maundy Thursday, 9th April:
7.30pm: 'Zoom' Agape Meal
In normal years, Maundy Thursday would begin with an agape meal. This year, we are encouraging everyone at 7.30 to eat so we are united in fellowship.
For those who would like and are able to, we are suggesting this could take place via Zoom: a virtual conferencing facility. This would mean we could see and chat to one another in an approximation of normal times!
If you would like to join in with that, either:
Holy Communion and Prayer Vigil
A Eucharist will then be offered on behalf of us all. You may wish to join in with the act of stripping the altars at home.
A live streamed prayer vigil will then take place til midnight here. Feel free to send any prayer requests in and they will be offered silently during the vigil.
2pm: 'Zoom' Stations of the Cross
2pm - 'Zoom' Stations of the Cross
We prepare for the hour of Jesus' Crucifixion by prayerfully marking out the journey He made to the cross.
We are proposing doing this via 'Zoom.' If you would like to join in with that, either email the Vicar or fill in the form below. Rev James will then send a link out to people with joining instructions..
5.30am: Live streamed Dawn Service and Easter Vigil
10am: Eucharist for Easter Day
Easter Sunday: 12th April
Dawn Service with Easter Vigil and Eucharist
Though we are unable to meet in person, the light of Christ will arrive and the Easter candle will be lit (albeit from the Vicar's garden!)
Join a live streamed service here as we listen to God's story of salvation followed by a short Eucharist.
10am Live Streamed Eucharist
Here we would normally have our main Easter Sunday Parish Eucharist. Rather, the Vicar will be offering the Eucharist on behalf of all the Parish from the Vicarage. Live streamed here.
