SERVING TEAM

As an Anglo-Catholic church, the Eucharist is the heart of our worship.

We have a hard working and dedicated serving team at each Eucharist. These are people who help with the important hob of preparing the church and altar for worship and assist the priest in the service itself.

A normal serving team consists of the following:

  • Two acolytes: people who carry the candles.

  • A crucifer: someone who carries a large cross and leads the procession.

  • A thurifer: someone who prepares the incense and swings the thurible - the pot the incense sits in.

  • An MC - someone who oversees the serving team.

Our serving team is made up of people from all ages and backgrounds and we are always delighted to welcome new people.
